Digenic F2 segregations for genes of linkage group V.
Butler, L.
The data accumulated by MacArthur and myself over the past thirty years are listed below. The data for the genes in this group and those in groups II, III, and IV were given in TGC 5:7-13. The type of segregation is designated in the second column by R for repulsion and C for coupling. The recombination value given is from the product moment method with no allowance for disturbed segregations. All recombination values which are significantly different from 50% are underlined. The controversial linkages for wt are also listed here, and it will be noted that F and wt show a recombination of 46%, a and wt show 26% recombination in coupling and independence in repulsion. The gene hl shows 22% in coupling and a non-significant 46% in repulsion, while j shows 35%. Unfortunately most of the scoring of a hl j with wt was done with the same F2's so that data do not reinforce one another.
