Germplasm resources of Lycopersicon esculentum L. from Spain (I)

During 1984 and 1985 collection of tomato was carried out in Spairn. The project, designed for collecting several vegetable crop species germplasm, was partially supported by I.B.P.G.R./F.A.0. 238 accessions of tomato have been collected and samples of all of them have been sent to the National Seed Storage Laboratory, U.S.D.A. Fort Collins, U.S.A.

Table 1.  shows the itenis collected which have not been
characterized yet.

Our group started in 1984 a project for collecting vegetable crop species germplasm in Spain, which was partially sponsored by I.B.P.G.R./ F.A.0. In addition to many other crops, 238 accessions of tomato have been collected. Among them, 29 accesions have been characterized. Table 1 and Table 2 show some of the characteres studied.
