Linkage tests with Stubbe's mutants.

Fifteen mutants from Stubbe's list II (Kulturpfl.6:89-115) were tested for linkage with the markers a\1 e mc t u wf y and c, d\1, gs, H j\1 l\1 r. A few were tested with al br d\1 f H j\1 wt. In general a population of 110 plants was grown. Crossover values were calculated by the product moment method. When no double recessive was obtained, one plant was assumed. The following combinations indicated linkage in F2 repulsion. Since e and gs are on different chromosomes, only one of the linkages with not is real. Seeds of the mutants and other relevant lines have been sent to the cooperators for the respective chromosomes.
