Linkage of nd, ag, and H.<p>

The following data were obtained from F2 segregations of a cross of nd; H to
the 363 stock (c; h; ag, and l\1) of Dr. A. B. Burdick.  Plants having few or
no trichomes above the cotyledonary node were classified as hairless.<p>

The sequence of these genes on chromosome 10 appears to be H nd ag, with nd
situated in close proximity to l\2.  The data of A. B. Burdick (TGC-8:10),
showing 10% recombination of nd with H. and the above data, showing 26.65%
recombination of nd with ag, fits the accepted map distance of 46 units
between H and ag reasonably well.  On this basis, nd could possibly be located
to the left of l\2 at approximately position 61 on chromosome 10.<p>
