work
it

estimated

some
isoenzyme

forms

In
this
study
we
have
compared
the
application
of
the
two
isozyme
loci
for
F,
tomato
hybridity
determination
.

individual
seeds
of
tomato
(
L
.
esculentum
Mill
.
)
hybrids
and
their
parental
lines,
taken
from
different
lots
and
experimental
stations
in
Bulgaria,
were
analyzed
(Table
1)
.
The
enzyme
extractions,
the
electrophoretic
division
on
polyacrilamide
gel
and
the
isozyme
visualization
were
carried
out
by
our
previous
work
.
The
two
loci
for
tomato
hybridity
identification
were
used
only
in
Kristi
and
Standard
59
cultivars
.
These
tomato
hybrids
were
distinguished
for
their
mother
line
which
had
the
gene
of
make
sterility:
ms
-
35
.
The
results
showed
complete
comparison
of
the
loci
Est
-
1
and
Adh
-
1
as
markers
of
F
1
hybridity
.
In
the
other
tomato
hybrids
that
we
have
investigated,
we
were
not
able
to
use
the
locus
Adh
-
1
because
of
lack
of
alternative
isozymes
in
the
parental
lines
.
Therefore
this
locus
wasn't
applicable
to
prove
F,
hybridityin
all
tomato
cultivars,
i
.
e
.
its
application
was
limited
.
As
hybrid
marker
for
the
other
tomato
varieties
we
used
only
locus
Est
-
1
.
There
was
no
difference
between
the
locus
Est
-
1
expressions
for
the
proving
of
F
1
hybridity
in
combinations
both
from
different
regions
of
the
country
and
with
different
origin
.
The
facts
of
great
importance
were
the
quicker
esterase
isozymes
visualization
and
the
cheaper
chemicals
for
if
.
The
data
of
this
research
indicate
some
universality
of
locus
Est
-
1
for
proving
F
1
tomato
hybridity
.
